CULTURAL DISTRICT AS AGORA: THE MACRO PERSPECTIVE

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

What is a true agora – a communal public space – today? How do we create and maintain places where everyone can feel that they belong? In a period of growing polarization, the role of cultural districts as places that uphold inclusivity and openness has never been higher on our agendas, but the barriers are complex and hard to surmount. So how do we go about it? Expanding the focus beyond the Greek context and building upon the conversations from the previous day, this plenary session invites us to reflect on diverse strategies and models and to explore how cultural districts can more fully realize their potential as centers of social and cultural activity at the heart of public life.
